The gemara in baba metzia 90b says that a jew is in violation of lifnei iver (the simple reading of the gemara sound like a d'oraysa lifnei iver, not just a misaya'ah) for leaving his animals out in a way that a goy is likely to do him a favor and be mesares them. According to the opinion that a goy is metzuveh in sirus, the jew is in violation of lifnei iver. The question is that the jew shouldn't be in violation of lifnei iver since it isn't trei avri d'nahara. The gemara seems to be holding that although the goy could obtain other animals to be mesareis without the jew providing this one, it still qualifies as trei avri d'nahara - a proof to the chazon ish.<br />But, we can easily push off this raya. The gemara may be speaking about a case where the goy would be mesareis every animal he has the ability to, therefore by providing him with extra animals it would be trei avri d'nahara since without you he would have done the issur fewer times. This sevara is similar to the sevara of tosafos in avoda zara 14b d.h. makom that if the goy would do the issur more times because of the jew, it is a d'oraysa violation of lifnei iver.Avi Lebowitzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10757679478618591719noreply@blogger.com
